100% FRESH BEEF, PORK, CHICKEN, LAMB AND VEAL.  JUST LIKE MOM WAS ABLE TO BUY!

Did you know that the superstores are trying to eliminate butchers.  They are selling meat that was cut hundreds of miles away.  Some even add water to make it look fresh cut.

Not at the members of "Help save the butchers!"  We cut our meat fresh, everyday while you watch.  We cut fresh beef, pork, lamb and veal.  And our meat has no additives.
Members of "Help save the butchers!" sell meat that is fresh cut in their own store.  They do not add water or any other ingredients that nature did not intend to be in fresh meat.  Buy fresh cut meat with no additives by shopping at a member near you.

Help Save The Butchers
Was founded by Bob Buonomano.  Bob has been cutting meat for over 40 years, starting at a little butcher shop in Rhode Island.  He then moved on to work for the chain stores becoming a meat manager for Finast/Edwards.  While working for Finast, Bob set up and managed meat departments with weekly volumes of over $250,000.  Twenty four years ago Bob went into business for himself buying his first supermarket in Willimantic, CT., Windham IGA.  Bob has built the meat volume of his own store using sound retail practices and the Help Save The Butchers program.  His 12,000 sq' store has weeks that exceed $100,000 in meat business.  The information contained in this web site is intended to help other retailers realize their potential in their meat departments.  Bob has served on the faculty of the IGA Coca-Cola Institute where he has shared his knowledge with retailers from many countries.  Bob has also shared his retail knowledge with other store owners at business seminars.
